Who is HRUHCA?

The Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Contractors Association (HRUHCA) is a Fifty-year-old, regional, heavy construction trade association operating in the Southeastern “Tidewater” area of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mission Statement

It is the goal of the Hampton roads Utilty and Heavy Contractors Association To provide meaningful, effective, ethical, and responsive representation to our members.

Contractor Member Firms

Construction firms who install underground utilities, perform commercial and residential site-development, and build transportation infrastructure (roads, bridges, & mass transit.)

Associate Member Firms

Associates are any firm who does business with the contractor members. This category is broad and includes heavy equipment suppliers, manufacturers and distributors of construction-related products & materials, and professional firms who specialize in construction. These professional firms include attorneys, certified public accountants, surety and bonding agents, investment and benefit professionals, and other such interests.

Municipal Public Works & utility departments

HRUHCA values its local municipal industry partners. We work closely with them to build the infrastructure of our area and we share important industry information with our local municipal partners.
